And though it was like snow and snowflakes, it endured the fire, which didn’t melt it. In this way, they knew that their enemies’ crops had been destroyed by an unusual fire, one that blazed even in the midst of the hail and let off sparks even in the midst of the rain.
But snow and ice endured the force of fire, and melted not: that they might know that fire burning in the hail and flashing in the rain destroyed the fruits of the enemies.
It was food that under normal circumstances would vanish away like snow or ice, but now it did not melt even in the fire. This was meant to teach your people that the same fire that was destroying their enemies' crops during the heavy downpour of rain and hail
Yet snow and ice withstood fire and were not melted, so that they might know that their enemies’ fruits Were consumed by a fire that blazed in the hail and flashed lightning in the rain.
Snow and ice withstood the fire and did not melt, so that they would realize that the harvesters of their enemies were destroyed by a fire that blazed in the hail and flashed through the falling rain;
